The Boys are back fresh from their show with Michael Kosta. So, naturally they will discuss the great Circumcision debate. Bumper Stickers come up for some reason and Steve Ausburne has to get a recent chestnuts encounter off his…chest…(get it?) Steve tells us about his recent show at D’Argenzio Winery, which Casey Williams somehow makes into a discussion about 90’s One-Hit Wonders and how Crime shows are the new home for our heroes from the past. A vintage Energizer commercial is broken down. Finally they get into some Corsair Ryemageddon. We all learn about the history of Sugar Smacks and it sounds like everyone had a blast at Steve’s wife’s birthday party. Wet Cat Food is compared to a weapon of mass destruction. The great Heathcliff Vs Garfield debate comes up which of course can’t happen without hearing from Carlton the Doorman. Are there too prescription drug commercials? How would Tears in Heaven sound if Clapton’s child was a teenager? All these questions and more are answered on the latest episode of the Barrel Proof Comedy Podcast!

The boys start the show talking a little football and the terrible state of the San Francisco 49ers. Steve has a cold, so be nice to him. Fast Food is discussed along with the secret-yet-necessary importance of drive-thru windows. Quantam Leap vs. Highway to Heavan, Riptide vs. Blue Thunder, Zany Football Movies, and the phenomenon where several movies come out with the same plot at the same time are pondered.  Templeton Rye is on the bill today and it’s origins are explored as well as what’s inside the bottle. Boyz n tha Hood & Colors turned Sonoma County into gangland in the 90’s. An age old question about Crispix question is finally answered.

A very special mega-sized episode! Sonoma County comedians Steve Ausburne and Casey Williams are happy to be back. Steve says he won’t sing anymore. We’ll see how that lasts. The beauty of the percent sign is broken down. The boys compare Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney’s hit Ebony and Ivory to the friction between Android and iPhone users. Tragedy struck last week as Steve was stuck in “Top Stories” on his Facebook newsfeed for an entire day. Class election stories are traded. Eventually the whiskey is tasted (around minute 30) and they re-cast The Golden Girls in a new feature film. The triumphant return of New York Seltzer is lauded. Another victory for the gay community last week as Casey gets an Email from one of his son’s teachers. Casey talks about his Norwegian Getaway Cruise and cruise-people problems. Too Close for Comfort comes up so naturally that segues into Knight Rider. Obviously both Michael Knight and Garth Algar are cast as Batman in various scenarios. More whiskey! Spandau Ballet is featured in a “Where are They Now” segment that goes nowhere but into a discussion on one hit wonders. Ever wonder how to smoke an ice ball? The architects of the Death Star are taken to task while The Galactic Empire is compared to The Brits in their invasion techniques. Water Slides: Are they Fun? Casey shares a story of how he cheated death at Atlantis in the Bahamas, and Steve one-ups him with his mad Contra skills.

Sonoma County Comedians Steve Ausburne and Casey Williams open the show intending to jump right into Slow Hand 6 Woods Malt Organic Whiskey while they Cast the Golden Girls re-boot movie....but then Steve mentions Finding Nemo so of course they have to discuss the history of Happy Days. The science of spinoffs are discussed as well as Organics and Food Allergies (more science!) The whiskey finally is opened while the back catalog of the Pointer Sisters are explored along with the concept of “Cover Comedy”. The boys touch on cinema classic Back to School, and Casey shares a story which involves Strep Throat AND A Nightmare on Elm Street. Steve Ausburne breaks out the closet booze on a special Labor Day Episode. Casey Williams opens the show by bringing up cinema masterpiece, One Crazy Summer which of course requires an exploration of the career of Mr. John Cusack. William Larue Weller - Buffalo Trace Antique Collection 2014 is eventually poured over discussion of Australian megastars like Yahoo Serious.

The guys break down their recent Dads on The Rocks show at Hopmonk in Sebastopol and Steve gives a brief review of Herman Mellville's Moby Dick, because that makes sense. Then, magically Danny Theriot appears to save the day along with controversial reports regarding Merv Griffin. Hangover remedies are explored and future shows are announced. This episode is nothing short of a Labor Day Miracle.

On the Road! Steve & Casey hit the road to their gig in Sacramento. NO WHISKEY this time. A bold move for ep 2 of a whiskey themed pocast. Like if on #2, Happy Days said "Let's try one without the Fonz...". Audio on this one is a little rough. Turns out whiskey barrels don't handle well on the freeway.

The Pilot! The First One! This is it!

Barrel Proof ComedyBender's 7 Year Whiskey

Steve & Casey crack open a bottle of Bender's 7 Year Small Batch Rye. Will they love it? Will they hate it? Will they forget to talk about it and ramble about 80's sit com icons, and a new name for Google instead? Yes, all those things will happen and more.
