Special Guest Streak Continues! Comedians Steve Ausburne and Casey Williams sit down with Crispin Cain of American Craft Whiskey Distillery, Greenway Distillers, and Tamar Distillery. We taste nearly everything in the place that has Low Gap Whiskey on the label in a gorgeous Redwood Valley setting. We had the Bourbon, we had the Malted Rye, we had the blend, we had the 100 Proof Wheat, we had the Clear Rye, and we barely remember what happened next. We first met Crispin and his lovely wife Tamar at Winesong in Fort Bragg. You have to go to this event if you haven’t been! Crispin is another protégée from Hubert Germain-Robin which means he knows his stuff. We dive deep into the distillation process. Crispin answers questions about the regulations on clear whiskey as well as what exactly is Celsius? Crispin is an Odd Fellow…literally. He tells us about the first whiskey he ever made from a Red Tail Ail Mash. We talk about the recent Craft Spirit Boom his famous Rose Liqueur (even when that word is spelled right, it looks like it’s spelled wrong) and last but not least we get into some of his amazing Absinthe and things get weird.
